Rooibos and chai spices are a natural match. Both are warm, aromatic, and caffeine-free - together they're something special.
What you need:
- 1 shot rooibos espresso
- 150ml milk of choice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- Pinch of cardamom
- Pinch of clove
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
How to make it:
1. Pull your rooibos espresso shot
2. Heat milk with the spices in a small saucepan, whisking gently (don't boil)
3. Strain the spiced milk into your cup over the espresso
4. Add honey if desired
5. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon
Why it works: Traditional chai uses black tea, which means caffeine. This version gives you all the warming spice without any of it. Drink it at 9 PM without a second thought.
